sunshine in the soul

The amazing Jamie of Inspired Mess has put together Happy Mail, a super fun exchange of packages and mail between pairs of swap partners. New partners are paired up each month, and this was my first time participating. SO much fun. (It's nice to get things other than bills and grocery store ads in the mailbox! And maybe even more fun to put together things for someone else.)
I was matched up with the lovely Janel from Runs with Scissors. I did this little mixed media painting on a card for her after reading this post about having the winter blues where she lives. I wanted to send her a little California sunshine.
What's the weather like where you are?

  1. The weather where I am is COLD!!! In fact hub and I were just talking about ordering a cord of wood for the fireplace because we're running low! So I am so happy to virtually meet you - I've been browsing around and just LOVE your style school projects and your sweet CAli sun gift (wish I were involved in getting something other than bills). So I'm a fellow crafter/artist AND classmate - we're in the INDIE 2.o class together - can't wait to share!

  4. The weather here is unseasonably warm, maybe even in the mid-30's. The snow is melting and there are puddles on the ground below the corners of our roof. This means we will probably have icicles in the morning! We haven't had as much snow this year either, but I don't mind. I like white Christmases, but not white Easters, which we have most of the time!
